Is a Bosphorus Dinner Cruise Worth It? An Honest Answer
Published: · Bosphorus Glow
In short
Yes, if you want a full, lively evening in one booking: hotel pickup, a set Turkish dinner, unlimited soft drinks and three hours of dance shows while the lit-up shores pass by. It is not the best choice if you want a quiet dinner, a menu to order from, alcohol included, or clear views of the shoreline.
What you get for the price
The night cruise is a whole evening in one booking. We pick you up from your hotel, the boat leaves Kabataş at 20:30 and returns at 23:30, and we drive you back to your hotel. In between you have dinner at your table and watch a programme of live shows while the boat cruises the Bosphorus.
This is what is included, exactly as on the cruise page:
- Hotel pickup before the cruise and drop-off afterwards
- A three-hour cruise on the Bosphorus
- Eight Turkish mezes, then one main course: grilled chicken, köfte (Turkish meatballs) or grilled fish
- A fruit plate and unlimited soft drinks
- Three hours of shows: a whirling dervish, an oriental dancer, folk dances such as Halay, Horon and Zeybek, and a live DJ to finish
What it is not
Knowing this before you book is what decides whether the evening feels worth it.
- It is not a quiet dinner. The evening is built around music and shows on a shared boat.
- It is not à la carte. Dinner is a set menu with fixed portions; you choose only the main course.
- Alcoholic drinks, tips, special desserts and personal expenses are not included in the price.
- It is not a sightseeing tour. You cruise after dark, so you see the palaces and bridges lit up rather than in detail.
Who enjoys it most
The night cruise suits travellers who want one easy, complete evening without planning dinner, transport and entertainment separately: first-time visitors, families, groups of friends and couples who enjoy a lively atmosphere. Children aged 0–3 join free and children aged 4–7 get half price, which makes it a practical evening out for families.
Hotel transfer is for centrally located hotels on the European side. Tell us your hotel when you send your request and we confirm the pickup on WhatsApp.
When another cruise is the better choice
If you want to see the shoreline in detail and hear what you are looking at, take a daytime tour from Eminönü. If you want the golden light of the evening and photographs, choose the sunset cruise from Karaköy. If you want a quiet dinner for two or an evening only for your own group, a private yacht suits you better.

Is alcohol included on the dinner cruise?

Can I choose what I eat?
You choose the main course from grilled chicken, köfte or grilled fish. The eight mezes and the fruit plate are the same for everyone.
